Feel the August Heat

August is the mid of hot summer in NYC. The temperature can shoot up beyond 35 degrees, with rain and storms that turmoil the MTA who wants to rise the price of the trains and buses.
NYU is preparing for the start of the new school year, with many students start coming in and there are loads of spring in the campus....
This is a picture of the heart of NYU, the Washingston Square Park. Where people cool and chill out in the fountains while beating the heat of summer away.

Mid Town Comics store is one of the largest comic shop I have been to.... the backdrop of superheros in NYC makes it really a interesting shop to go to if u are bored in the city.

Everyone loves broadway in some form of another. This summer, I am very lucky to catch two excellent broadway musical.

Marry Poppins is a musical that is suitable for all ages. Musical that has the magic to entrace U to go for more. It is best watch live, as the atmosphere is really very good. Yes the tickets cost a bomb, but it is still worth the price... trust me, if U come NYC, must go and catch one or two shows.... else U have never been to NYC.

My personal favourite now is Les Miserables.
The story is based on a failed 1815 French Revolution. And the main character is Jean Valjean, a man condemned to 19 years of hard labor for stealing a loaf of bread to feed his family. While on parole, he was treated badly. Meeting one prist who believes in him, changed Valjean to begin a new life. Fate for Valjean is twisted, the story goes into full blossom when he adopted the orphan Cosette. Les Miserables is a beautifully sad muscial, that theme is based on love, courage and redemption, that can moved any man who watch it.

Cake club and it is my turn to make a cake. And this time, I make Tiramisu.... haha Italian dessert.....

It turns out to be a poor effort. Some how my cake melts before serving. I think i should but in freezer before I serve.....
Some of my friends say tasted okie, but the form is gone.... guess I need to make more.

William suggest that I use the traditional recipe rather than the online version. The traditional one do not need alcohol as Tiramisu is suppose to be a dessert that "Pulls U up" so expresso is important. And wine will only knock U out..... haha....

This is the whipped form before mixing with cheese..... and whip cream.

And today, i have also tried cooking Korean food. Kimchi mixed with pork chop noodles. Turns out very well. It tastes good and smells good. Haha... but better not show my Korean friend, Lee. He will surely laugh his head off.
